Maine’s Premier Youth Football League

The Maine Youth Football League provides tackle football playing opportunities to Maine children from grades 1-6 in three programs – Pee Wee, Junior Varsity, and Varsity.

The MYFL member communities include
Boothbay, Camden, Falmouth, Freeport, Gray-New Glouchester, Lincoln County, Medomak, Portland, Rockland, South Portland, Westbrook, and Yarmouth. In 2012 these communities will field more than 40 teams for competition in the MYFL.

The mission of the Maine Youth Football League is to instill in our players of the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority that participation in the sport of football provides, so that they may become well adjusted, stronger and happier children who grow to be decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens.

From the President

Dear Fellow MYFL League and Board Members,

As the new President of the MYFL, I would like to thank the previous Board and league members for making 2011 such a wonderful season. The valueable contributions of your time and resources has helped shape our league into what it is today and we are very appreciative!

As we head into 2012, we are just beginning to organize the Board and establish priorities to ensure our children benefit from being part of the MYFL.

In the next few days you will be recieving an email inviting you to attend our next Board meeting. The meeting agenda will be included as well as a list containing all of the new Board members and vacant positions. We currently are seeking individuals for the roles of Treasurer, Trustee and Secretary. We would really appreciate it if each community representative in MYFL would communicate to their current Board and volunteers the need to fill these important roles.

Again on behalf of the Board I thank you all for the dedication and commitment to continue to make MYFL a leader in Maine football.

Sincerely,

BJ Carter
MYFL President
